Description

PU (H) is a ready-to-use filled polyurethane thermosetting compound, specially developed for encapsulation of Instrument Transformers up to 33 KV. It is a two-component system (i.e., Resin and Hardener) that cures at room temperature. The resin is available in standard red, brown and black colours.

Cable Joints Casting

Product Description

POLYSEAL two-part Polyurethane Compound is specially designed for encapsulation of electrical cable jointing kits. It is supplied in two separate packs viz. Resin and Hardener. The cured compound shows excellent electrical, mechanical, thermal and water resistance properties.

Technical Specification

  • Mixing Ratio: 100: 19 by volume
  • Stirring time: 5 minutes
  • Hardening time: 45 minutes to 65 minutes (for 1000 cc mix at ambient temperature)
  • Properties of the cured compound:
    • Density: 1.6 gm/cc
    • Hardness at 27 ̊C : 70 – 95 (Shore – A)
    • Dielectric strength: 15 kv/mm
    • Volume Resistivity: > 1014 W-cm
